Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2001 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 1,3, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Arbeit soll es nicht um Schlagworte wie Humanität oder Theologenschelte (Thomas Mann 1951), Sozialproblematik (Wolff 1954), Ironie (Wittkowski 1969), anarchische Gesellschaft (Horn 1978), Bewusstseinskritik (Beckmann 1978), Theodizee (Ledanff 1986), patriarchalische Ordnung (Zimmermann 1989), Paradiesvorstellungen (Emmrich 1990), Katastrophenbewältigung (Moucha 2000) und die mehr als fragwürdige "Verteidigung der Weltordnung" (Pongs 1969), sondern um politisch-soziale Momente in Kleists Erdbeben gehen. Um diese Elemente im Text ausfindig machen zu können, mu man die allegorische Erzählweise Kleists beachten: Allegorisches Erzählen hei t ein Erzählen mit Absichten, mit einem intellektuellen Einsatz, mit Wertvorstellungen im Hintergrund, die verteidigt oder etabliert werden müssen, oft in dieser Zeit auch: mit Gegenwartskritik. [...] Zum allegorischen Erzählen gehört, da nicht direkte Gegenbilder der Wirklichkeit in der Literatur zu finden sind und umgekehrt: da die Literatur nicht direkt und unverändert die Wirklichkeit projektiert (KOOPMANN 1990).
