Steve has put into words his observations and experiences in the book Be My Friend. This book is a tool for parents and their children in relationship choices. Be My Friend should provide a speaking platform for kids to be open about their friendships. Parents in turn will begin to understand why some of their children's friends tend to bring the best (or the worst) out of their kids.Few of us can put into words why we made the friends we did. The friends seem to just "Happen." This book will help your child put into words his or her feelings as to what they are looking for in a friendship.Steve has integrated his observations of friendships and incorporated biblical truth together to build a foundation for design in friendships. Jesus was and continues to be our great role model. Learning from Jesus and his approach towards relationships form the backbone for all of our own relational priorities.Be My Friend will help parents and kids learn about themselves as well as the friends that children keep. Not all children should be your kids' best friend. Steve Baumann earned his Undergraduate degree in History from Bethel University (St. Paul, Minnesota), and his Masters in Christian Education from Bethel West Seminary (SD, CA). He has volunteered in youth work for over 20 years as a layperson, served as a missionary pastor for 16 months in the Philippines, and served as an English speaking youth pastor in Southern California at a Chinese Church for 5 years.Steve and his wife Jennie have two kids John and James. They love to travel and serve at their church. Together they have served in children's program for the past 12 years. They currently live in Orlando, Florida.
