Sowohl die Auswahl der Motoren - es gab bereits Benzin- und Dieselmotoren mit hohen Reifegraden - als auch deren Einbau werden in diesem Grundlagenwerk beschrieben. Das gilt auch für den damals noch regelmä ig auftretenden und besonders anspruchsvollen Sachverhalt des Einbaus einer Maschine in ein Boot, das ohne Rücksicht hierauf konstruiert und gebaut wurde.
