Olivier Clément (1921–2009) was a French theologian and writer, converted to Orthodox Christianity at thirty after a deep spiritual search influenced by authors like Dostoevsky and Berdiaev. Professor at the Saint-Serge Orthodox Theology Institute in Paris, he stood out for his commitment to ecumenical dialogue and his participation as a lay observer in the Second Vatican Council. He was also awarded honorary doctorates by the Theological Institute of Bucharest and the Catholic University of Louvain.

A prolific author in the genres of theology, spirituality, and essay, his most notable works in Spanish include Approaching Prayer (1986), The Orthodox Church (1990), God is Sympathy (2011), The Faces of the Spirit (2015), The Joy of the Resurrection (2016), Theopoetics of the Body (2017), and Christ, Land of the Living (2024).
