Das phytochemische Screening des wässrigen und des methanolischen Extrakts von Brassica oleracea (Wei kohl) ergab, dass Kohlenhydrate, Alkaloide, Flavonoide, Steroide, Terpenoide, Tannine, Chinone und Phenole vorhanden sind, während Saponine und Glykoside fehlen. Die DPPH-Radikalfängeraktivität des methanolischen Extrakts von Brassica oleracea (Wei kohl) zeigte, dass die IC50 bei minimaler Konzentration und effektiverer Radikalfängeraktivität im Vergleich zu Standard- und wässrigem Extrakt lag. Der MTT-Test des methanolischen Extrakts von Brassica oleracea (Wei kohl) ergibt den LC50-Wert bei einer Konzentration von 125 g/ml mit einer Zellviabilität von 52,22%. Der methanolische Extrakt von Brassica oleracea (Wei kohl) führt im Vergleich zur DMSO-Kontrolle zu einer 76%igen Mortalität. Aus den gewonnenen Daten lässt sich schlie en, dass der Wei kohl von Brassica oleracea als mögliche Quelle für die Behandlung von Problemen im Zusammenhang mit oxidativem Stress sowie für eine starke krebshemmende Wirkung verwendet werden kann.
