Aigle ist eine politische Gemeinde im Kanton Waadt, Schweiz, und Hauptort des gleichnamigen Distrikts Aigle. Der frhere deutsche Name len wird heute nicht mehr verwendet. Die Einwohner werden Les Aiglons genannt. Die franzsische Bezeichnung Aigle bedeutet auf Deutsch Adler. Aigle liegt auf 415 m . M., 13 km sdsdstlich der Stadt Montreux (Luftlinie). Das Dorf erstreckt sich am Ostrand des unteren Rhnetals, auf dem Schwemmkegel, den der Fluss Grande Eau im Lauf der Zeit bei seinem Austritt in das Rhnetal akkumuliert hat, in den Waadtlnder Alpen.
