"灵魂"问题几乎是每个人都关心、都思考的大问题。"灵魂"问题的研究，对认知、心智、心理、人性、道德、伦理、医学和哲学等重要领域，都有直接的影响，是一个意义十分重大的复杂而又艰难的课题。千百年来，东、西方科学家和学者进行了大量卓有成效的探讨，但至今还停留在基础的层面上。作者在吸收前人研究成果的基础上，结合现代相关前沿学科的研究成果和中医学理论、道家理论、经络穴位理论以及它们的长期实践成果，潜心探索，颇有收获，主要是：（1）通过一系列论证，证明"灵魂"确实存在；（2）"灵魂"是高维空间的智慧生命体，具有必须特别定义的物质属性；（3）揭示了"灵魂"的基本结构和基本特性；（4）揭示了"灵魂系统"与"大脑神经系统"的功能区别及功能联系，找到了人类高层次意识发生与运行的机制；（5）揭示了"灵魂轮回转世"的机理，提出并论证了"生育转世"的模式，与传统的"投胎转世"模式并列；（6）揭示了"灵魂"与人类起源及演化发展的特点；（7）论证了"神"的存在以及"神"与"灵魂"的关系。研究中，提出并论证了一系列新见解和新假说，纠正了不少以往的错误观点和概念、澄清了一些模糊认识。本项研究所取案例科学可靠，不采用经书、神话传说和民间故事作案例。这些研究成果基本上搭建起了关于人类"灵魂"问题认识的总体理论框架，前后可以串通，左右相互呼应，形成一个具有较强逻辑性的系统理论见解。因为本项探讨是建立在前人丰硕的研究成果基础上，是建立在吸取中华文化精华的基础上，所以获得的成果具有较好的可信度和科学性。
