Synopsis "A Blueprint for Murder: A Helen Reilly Cozy Mystery for Halloween"

Helen Reilly is on her first job as an independent HR consultant and is asked to confidentially interview the architects at a successful firm. But what secrets come out are far from normal, and the one person at the center is mysteriously missing. What surfaces will change everything and everyone in the firm. A mystery is afloat, and Helen and her Vancouver detective "friend" are on the hunt for a killer on a Halloween she won't soon forget."Great #2 for this series. You'll want to keep following Helen.""This is a fun way into a mystery... through the HR department." "I usually don't like romances in my mysteries, but I like these two." This is a Pacific Northwest mystery set in the beautiful city of Vancouver, BC, Canada. It is a clean cozy mystery with a slow-burn romance. This book is part of a cozy murder mystery series that continues from book one in the same contemporary, light, humorous chick lit style with our female sleuth teaming up with her handsome detective and learning more and more about police procedurals. No gore, just great mysteries and a host of characters in fascinating settings, locations and a deep dive into a variety of workplaces and businesses like stock brokerage, architecture and biotech. The settings also include well-known Vancouver landmarks, but little-known facts about Vancouver adding more interest. In that sense for many it can be considered a travel mystery with romance with the twist of learning about HR and whichever business Helen is consulting for when she stumbles upon a mystery in Vancouver, making these highly original mysteries. The author had a ten-year career in human resources in order to write believably about this field. She has been writing since she was young and got the idea for the first book when she realized that only a limited number of people, or "suspects," had passes to an executive lounge making it a perfect locked room or limited access style mystery. She continues to have great fun creating motives and inventing characters that fit a specific industry where she sets the murder. The author is inspired by the classics and the original cosy mystery writer, Agatha Christie. Also the Sherlock Holmes collection, the first writer of police procedurals and hard evidence clues. Helen Reilly mysteries are currently available in paperback cozy mysteries and in kindle unlimited under cozy mystery free kindle books. Audiobooks to follow. Book 1 - A Killing in StocksBook 2 - A Blueprint for MurderBook 3 - A Bitter Murder to Swallow THE SERIESHelen Reilly and her bestie, Teresa Chang, strike out on their own in the world of Human Resources consulting where Helen finds plenty of mysteries, murder and mayhem in all kinds of Vancouver workplaces.
