Daniel Mella (Montevideo, 11 de febrero de 1976) es un escritor uruguayo destacado por su estilo introspectivo y su capacidad para abordar temas profundos con una prosa precisa y emotiva. Su obra El hermano mayor (2016) es una novela autoficcional que explora el dolor y la memoria tras la muerte de su hermano en 2014. La narración, que alterna entre presente, pasado y futuro, se adentra en el duelo y la búsqueda de significado, convirtiéndose en una reflexión sobre la vida, la muerte y la escritura como forma de redención.
