Synopsis "Formulation of Database Model of Parametric Effects on Aluminum Alloy: Formulation of Database Model of Parametric Effects for Aluminum Alloy on Surface Roughness"

In this book, I express the result obtained by the burnishing process on four different aluminum alloy. Surface roughness developed on the work piece surface after conventional machining processes like turning and milling produced inherent irregularities & tool marks. These irregularities causes friction and surface damage which leads to low product life, poor metallurgical properties and overall poor product quality. The burnishing process is applied for better surface finish on the post machined components due to its chip-less and relatively simple operations. Fine surface finish and accuracies are obtained in surface finishing process. The proper understanding of surface finishing process is investigated and reported in this research work, which will help the user to choose the optimum machining parameters to achieve the desired results. The mathematical model and ANN developed for the phenomenon truly represents the degree of interaction of various independent variables. This is made possible only by the approach adopted in this investigation. The standard error estimate of the predicted, computed values of the dependent variables is found to be very low.
