Synopsis "What's in It for Me? "

Have you refused to read the Old Testament because you predetermined you will not understand it? Or is it because you think those ancient stories have nothing in common with you? What's in It for Me? was written to remove those obstacles. These thirty-four stories are only a sampling of the lives you will meet when you read the Old Testament. Some names in this selection-Abraham and Moses, for instance--are readily recognized. Others, such as the outcast Jephthah and Abigail, the defiant wife, are not as famous. One person, forever unnamed, is the courageous proactive woman who singlehandedly rescued her city. You will form a connection with these personalities and the others as you answer five thought-provoking questions after each story. What's in It for Me? brings a new respect for the Old Testament.
