A bold defender of justice has her convictions challenged by secrets from her past coming to light in this second book in the middle grade graphic novel series by Matt Myklusch set in the same Imagine Nation from his acclaimed Jack Blank series.
Every day, thousands of aliens pass in and out of the intergalactic spaceport of Galaxis. Years ago, following the destruction of her home world, a girl named Allegra came to stay and found her people: the fearless Valorian Guard, defenders of justice throughout the galaxy. It’s a reputation Allegra has always tried to live up to.
But when a mysterious figure from her past reappears, Allegra finds herself breaking the law to help a notorious space pirate called Fallon. Together with her friend Jack Blank, they blast off on a desperate mission. Fallon is chasing a priceless fortune, but Allegra is after something even more valuable…lost messages from her mother, who died freeing her from a Rüstov prison colony when she was just a baby.
Their journey will take them through alien war zones and deadly space anomalies, all the way up to an exploding star that could destroy everything—including Allegra and her friends. The family memories she always longed for are waiting at the edge of the universe, but with danger chasing them every step of the way, she may soon become a memory herself.
