Synopsis "The Orbital Mind"

A person is not a fixed type. A person is a living system: many functions held in a workable relation against the pull of their own forces. The Orbital Mind offers a systems psychology of attention, desire, agency, structure, imagination, grief, and purpose. The solar system serves as a vivid language for thinking about these functions and the relationships between them.Across five parts, the book explores the conditions of coherence, the functions of a living self, openness and transformation, and the collisions that shape ordinary life. Its final part develops a formal model, a cross-scale conjecture, and predictions that could be tested and found wrong. The book distinguishes empirical support, philosophical interpretation, symbolic image, metaphysical question, and formal conjecture. Planetary imagery is a language for reflection, never a source of proof, prediction, or destiny.
