Juan Ballesta
Juan Ballesta (Almería, Spain, 1935). Cartoonist, master of dark humor and satire. His cartoons have been published in outlets like Cambio 16, Diario 16, Le Monde, Credencial magazine, Le Monde, Washington Post, Herald Tribune, Courrier International, Paris Match, among other magazines and newspapers in Europe and America. He has published several books, including La pareja: ¡qué coñazo! and Lei & Lui. He illustrated a beautiful collection of children's texts written by José Agustín Goytisolo and is the author of numerous children's books, among them Las hormigas de la belleza. His works can be seen at the Basel Museum of Humor, the International Documentation Library in Paris, and the University of Alcalá Foundation. He received the International Press Club Award and has represented Spain at the global humor exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary History in Paris.
