The Wire-EDM utilizes the wire which acts as a tool upon passing the current so as to erode the work material by the generation of spark(s) between the work piece and tool. The work piece and tool is immersed in die-electric fluid and then it is allowed to pass high voltage through it, to remove the material by erosion and such machining helps to produce parts with good surface quality and dimensional accuracy.The objective of the present work is to investigate the effects of the various Wire-EDM process parameters on the machining quality and, to obtain the optimal set of process parameters.
