Sins of the Father - MJ Broadaway

When Morgan Davis lands herself in mandatory therapy for anger management, she doesn’t believe that she’s one of those people that really needs to be there. However, when her therapist asks about family history of mental illnesses, it prompts Morgan to dive into her great-grandmother’s hushed past: a woman who spent years locked away in the state psychiatric asylum for a supposed psychotic break.

Back in 1940, Millie Davis murdered her husband in the middle of the night. The tales that were passed down through the generations told stories of an axe-murder one stormy night, and a family curse for bloodlust, tainting the Davis name and evoking feelings of shame for years. During Morgan’s investigation, she inadvertently uncovers truths about her family history of a string of crimes and heartbreak that former generations had worked hard to keep hidden, and pieces together an incredible trail of events that would drive anyone mad. Wouldn’t it?

Inspired by the Author’s true family events, Sins of the Father is a gripping tale of how one woman’s breaking point and darkest moments encourage another woman’s healing- nearly a century later.
