Adrian Pierce Rogers fue un reconocido pastor, predicador, maestro bíblico y escritor bautista estadounidense. Nació el 12 de septiembre de 1931 en West Palm Beach, Florida, Estados Unidos. A los 19 años decidió dedicarse al ministerio cristiano. Estudió en la Universidad Stetson y posteriormente en el Seminario Teológico Bautista de Nueva Orleans, donde completó su formación religiosa.

En 1972 se convirtió en pastor principal de la Iglesia Bautista Bellevue, en Memphis, Tennessee. Durante su liderazgo, la congregación creció considerablemente, pasando de unos 9.000 miembros a más de 29.000.
