Søren Sveistrup is the internationally recognized screenwriter, creator, and producer of several television series.

Between 2007 and 2012, Sveistrup was the creator and writer of the series The Killing, awarded numerous prizes and sold to more than a hundred countries worldwide, as well as adapted in its American version by AMC and Fox Television Studios. He has written numerous film scripts, such as The Day Will Come or the adaptation of Jo Nesbø's famous thriller The Snowman.

Born in 1968, he holds a master's degree in Literature and History from the University of Copenhagen and graduated in audiovisual screenplay from the Danish Film School.
