Kalynn Bayron is an American writer specializing in young adult fantasy and gothic horror literature, known for her reinterpretations of classic tales from an inclusive and contemporary perspective. Her debut novel, Cinderella Is Dead (2020), reimagines the fairy tale in a dystopian and feminist world. Other notable works include This Poison Heart (2021) and its sequel This Wicked Fate (2022), which combine mythology and botanical magic. In My Dearest Henry (2023), she offers a queer version of the Jekyll and Hyde myth, set in Victorian London. She has also ventured into the horror genre with You're Not Supposed to Die Tonight (2023)

Bayron has been recognized for her ability to integrate themes of identity, diversity, and social critique into her narratives, becoming an influential voice in contemporary young adult literature. Her work has been praised for its originality and for providing representation to traditionally marginalized communities in fiction. She currently resides in New York with her family and continues to write novels that challenge genre conventions.
