Die Arecanuss(Areca catechu L.) ist eine wirtschaftlich und kulturell wichtige einhäusige tropische Palme, die in Indien angebaut wird und zur Familie der Palmengewächse gehört. Die erfolgreiche Etablierung kommerzieller Plantagen hängt von einem gesunden und kräftigen Wachstum der Setzlinge ab, insbesondere in den frühen Entwicklungsstadien. Die Blattapplikation von essentiellen Makro- und Mikronährstoffen auf Arecanut-Pflanzen im Sämlingsstadium fördert sowohl die morphologische als auch die physiologische Entwicklung. Ein Versuch in einer Baumschule wurde durchgeführt, um die Konzentration von Blattspray für eine kräftige Entwicklung der Sämlinge der Arekanuss am College of Horticulture, Dr. BSKKV, Dapoli im Jahr 2021-22 zu bestimmen. Der Versuch wurde in einem randomisierten Blockdesign durchgeführt und bestand aus zehn Behandlungen. Ziel der Studie war es, die Wirkung verschiedener Konzentrationen von NPK (19:19:19), KNO₃ und Ca(NO₃)₂ auf die Wachstumsleistung von Arekanussämlingen zu bewerten. Die Behandlung T3 (19:19:19 @ 3 %) erwies sich als wirksam bei der Förderung des Wachstums von Arekanussämlingen mit besserer Leistung.
