Tonya Hurley
Tonya Hurley is an American writer and director born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. She is known for her work in young adult literature, especially for the Ghostgirl series, whose first book, Rest in Peace?, was published in 2008. The series includes titles such as The Return (2009), Lovesick (2010), Christmas Spirit (2012), and Day of the Dead (2013). Another notable work is The Blessed trilogy, consisting of Precious Blood (2012), Passionaries (2013), and The Last Sacrifice (2015).
In addition to her literary career, Hurley has worked in film and television, co-creating the series So Little Time and the animation Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action!, both starring the Olsen twins. Her books have been published in almost 30 countries and translated into more than 20 languages.
