Robert A. Neimeyer is a distinguished American psychologist, known for his innovative approach to the study of grief and loss. He is a professor emeritus at the Department of Psychology at the University of Memphis and director of the Portland Institute for Loss and Transition. Additionally, he maintains a private practice in Memphis, Tennessee.
