Remedios Zafra
Remedios Zafra (Zuheros, Córdoba, 1973) is a distinguished essayist, researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the CSIC, and professor specialized in digital culture, feminism, and intellectual work in the contemporary era. PhD in Fine Arts and a degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology, she has focused her work on the critical analysis of identity on the internet, labor precariousness, and cultural transformations derived from technology. Her interdisciplinary approach has made her an influential voice in current Spanish thought.

Among her most recognized works are El entusiasmo: Precariedad y trabajo creativo en la era digital (2017), awarded the Anagrama Essay Prize and the Estado Crítico Prize, El bucle invisible (2022), which received the Jovellanos International Essay Prize, and El informe: Trabajo intelectual y tristeza burocrática (2024). Other notable titles include (h)adas: Mujeres que crean, programan, prosumen, teclean (2013), Frágiles (2021), and Un cuarto propio conectado (2010). Her work has been recognized with multiple awards, such as the Maruja Mallo Prize in the Thought category (2025), the El Público Letters Prize, and the Málaga Essay Prize.
