L. Alarcón Miguel
L. Alarcón Miguel, also known as Liam Alarcón Miguel, is a Spanish writer born in Madrid. He began his literary career at a young age, writing professionally since he was nine. His debut in the literary industry was with the novel Rhindanos: The Return of Darkness, originally scheduled for publication in 2019, but which finally saw the light two years later due to issues with the publisher.

His most notable work to date is Hyacinthus, published in Spanish in January 2024. This novel is a poetic reinterpretation of the Greek myth of Apollo and Hyacinth, set in ancient Sparta. The story explores themes such as love, ephemeral beauty, and divine intervention, presenting Hyacinth as a prince who prefers contemplation to war, and whose beauty attracts the attention of several gods, including Apollo, Zephyr, and Boreas.

The critics have praised Hyacinthus for its evocative and emotional prose, highlighting its ability to convey the intensity of love and the tragedy of the original myth. Currently, Alarcón Miguel is working on the English edition of the novel, which is in the process of being reviewed by beta readers.

In addition to his role as a writer, Alarcón Miguel is also an illustrator, collaborating with his sister, Mónica Alarcón Miguel, in creating the illustrations for Hyacinthus.
