Johnston McCulley
Johnston McCulley (1883-1958) was an American writer known for his adventure literature and pulp fiction works. His most famous creation is Zorro, a masked vigilante who first appeared in The Curse of Capistrano (1919), published in All-Story Weekly magazine. Due to its success, the story was compiled and published as a novel in 1924 under the title Zorro.
McCulley wrote numerous sequels to the character, consolidating his legacy in literature and cinema.
