Eva Tobalina Oraá
Eva Tobalina Oraá (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1975) is a PhD in Ancient History and a university professor. She graduated in History from the University of Navarra with an outstanding average (Extraordinary Degree Award, June 1997) and, later, obtained her PhD with summa cum laude unanimously with the defense of her thesis on The senatorial cursus honorum during the Julio-Claudian era (Extraordinary Doctorate Award, 2005)
Currently, she combines her teaching as a professor of History in the degrees of History and Humanities at UNIR with dissemination. She has participated in lectures on video games as a tool for teaching History; teaches courses at the CIVICAN Cultural Center and at the UNED, in Pamplona; offers conferences for various institutions and entities, such as the Raíces de Europa cultural association of Vitoria-Gasteiz; and serves as a History professor accompanying trips organized by Cultura y Viajes – Viajes Redondo, based in Madrid.
She has also worked on the creation of texts for guides and publications, among which stand out the audio guide of the city of Rome, Tutta Roma, and of Paris, Tout Paris, by Producciones Aura SL, and has published dissemination articles in magazines such as Historia National Geographic.
In October 2024, Eva Tobalina Oraá has published the book The Silk Roads: the history of the encounter between East and West (La esfera de los libros). You can read the first pages of the work.
