Ernest Hemingway
Ernest Hemingway (Oak Park, Illinois, July 21, 1899 – Ketchum, Idaho, July 2, 1961) was an American novelist and journalist, Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954. He fought in World War I and was a correspondent in several conflicts. His most famous works include The Old Man and the Sea (Pulitzer Prize), A Farewell to Arms, and For Whom the Bell Tolls, recognized for their direct style and influence on universal literature.
