Carlos Monsiváis
Carlos Monsiváis (Mexico City, 1938-2010) was one of the most important writers, chroniclers, and essayists in Mexico. His work covered topics of culture, politics, and Mexican society, always with a sharp critical sense and a unique prose. Among his most outstanding books are "Dos miradas al fascismo" (2003), an analysis of authoritarian regimes, and "Los rituales del caos" (1995), where he reflects on the transition and contradictions of modernity in his country. Monsiváis is recognized for his literary style that mixes chronicle with essay.

Although it is not mentioned that he received specific awards for "Dos miradas al fascismo", his legacy as an intellectual and writer is indisputable, being a reference in literature and thought in Mexico. His work remains relevant, both in the academic field and in public reflection on contemporary history.
