Andrés Montero Jaramillo
Andrés Montero Jaramillo was born in Santiago, Chile on February 13, 1959. He studied at the Colegio del Verbo Divino and graduated in Commercial Engineering from the University of Chile in 1981. He holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University (1985), where he was a Fulbright scholar and Hubert Humphrey Fellow.
He has been involved in agricultural and livestock activities in the Maule and Los Lagos regions for over thirty years. He has been a professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Chile and is a member of the Advisory Council of the same faculty.
Since 1997, he has been the executive director and founding partner of InterTrust Head Hunting. He is a director of the National Agriculture Society (SNA) and vice president of SNA Educa. He is a counselor of the Society for Industrial Development (SOFOFA) where he chairs the Chile-Spain Business Council. He is a director of Maltexco S.A. and of the Mother-Child Foundation.
He has been a columnist for the ABC newspaper in Madrid and is currently a columnist for the digital newspaper El Debate in Spain and El Líbero in Chile.
Andrés Montero is married, has four children and three grandchildren. This is his third book.
