Alexandra Bracken
Alexandra Bracken (Phoenix, 1987) is an American writer specialized in fantasy and science fiction youth literature. She studied History and English at the College of William & Mary and worked in the publishing industry before dedicating herself fully to writing. Her first novel, Brightly Woven (2010), was recognized by Publishers Weekly and was a finalist in the Goodreads Choice Awards as Best Debut.
Her most famous work is the Darkest Minds series, which includes The Darkest Minds (2012). Additionally, she has written adaptations such as Star Wars: A New Hope – The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy (2015). Her books have been bestsellers in The New York Times and translated into multiple languages.
