Alberto José González Chaves
Alberto José González Chaves (Badajoz, 1970) is a Spanish priest from the Archdiocese of Toledo, ordained in 1995 by Cardinal Marcelo González Martín. After his ordination, he served as a parish priest in Peñalsordo and Capilla, in the province of Badajoz. In 2003, he moved to Rome to pursue theological studies and, since 2006, has been working at the Congregation for Bishops in the Vatican.
González Chaves has contributed to the literary field with works such as "Un castillo encantado por Dios: El alma según Teresa de Jesús" (2025), co-written with Francisco Cerro Chaves, and "Padre Arnaiz: Me he dado prisa en vivir" (2018). He has also published "¡Dame almas! Una biografía del cardenal Merry del Val" (2021). His work has been recognized for its theological depth and his dedication to spreading religious thought.
