Pamela Hill Nettleton is an American writer, editor, playwright, and academic with a prolific career in children's and young adult literature. She holds a PhD in communication and gender studies, and teaches at the University of St. Thomas and St. Catherine University in Minnesota. She has published over 25 books, including Look, Listen, Taste, Touch, and Smell: Learning About Your Five Senses (2006). Her work focuses on educational themes, health, and values, featuring titles such as Think, Think, Think: Learning About Your Brain (2004) and Bend and Stretch: Learning About Your Bones & Muscles (2004)

In addition to her literary work, Nettleton has written more than 300 essays and articles for publications like Redbook, Reader’s Digest, and U.S. Catholic, where she maintains a column on media. Her academic research focuses on the representation of masculinity and the coverage of domestic violence in the media. She has received accolades such as the Kenneth Harwood Outstanding Dissertation Award and has been honored for her teaching excellence.
