(Liverpool, 1973). Scientist and professor of Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States, and founder and director of the Center for Human Sleep Science, which investigates the role of sleep in health and disease. He has published over a hundred scientific research studies and has appeared in numerous television and radio media as a science communicator.
