Gina Renee Dunham is a fashion designer, pattern-making expert, and author specialized in fittings and fashion sketches for female figures. Her formal education began at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, where she graduated in 2003. Since then, she has developed her career in the garment industry, initially working in Haute Couture in New York and later creating technical clothing for surfing and snowboarding in California.

In 2012, she moved to Germany, where she launched her own independent company, Gina Renee Designs, focused on digital sewing patterns. Later in 2014, she moved to Switzerland, working as a technical director at a renowned European sportswear brand, leading a team of pattern makers and developers, and crafting garments for elite athletes.

Dunham is the author of very popular books within the seamstress community, including The Fitting Book, The Fashion Design Book, and The Curvy Fashion Design Book. Her works combine technical theory and extensive practice, incorporating graphic references, diagrams, and QR codes to access video tutorials, teaching how to achieve well-fitted and visually appealing garments.

Additionally, she is the creator of her own pattern-making method called GRD Method™, designed to customize the fit of garments according to body measurements. She offers courses and online resources, such as “Making a Moulage – The GRD Method™”, which have helped thousands of people improve the fit of their designs professionally.

Originally from Colorado and a nature lover, she now lives in Switzerland, where she combines her passion for design, technique, and outdoor well-being, enjoying hiking, swimming, and cycling in the Alps.
