Steve Englehart (Indianapolis, Indiana, April 22, 1947) is an American comic book writer. He performed his most acclaimed works for Marvel Comics and DC Comics, during the 70s, especially in Avengers comics (1972-1975), Captain America (1972-1975) and Batman (1977-1978).

Englehart graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown, in the state of Connecticut (United States).
