Brian K. Vaughan is an acclaimed comic book and television screenwriter, born on July 17, 1976, in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He began his career in the 1990s writing for major publishers Marvel and DC Comics, but gained prominence with his original works, which combine engaging storytelling, social themes, and complex world-building.

Among his most famous works is Y: The Last Man (2002–2008), a post-apocalyptic series about the last surviving man after a mysterious plague.
