John Villiers Farrow (10 de febrero de 1904, Sídney, Australia – 27 de enero de 1963, Beverly Hills, Estados Unidos) fue un director de cine, guionista y escritor australiano-estadounidense. Inició su carrera en Hollywood como guionista en los años treinta y pronto destacó como director en géneros como el cine negro, la aventura y el bélico. Su estilo se caracterizó por una narrativa sólida y una puesta en escena eficaz, lo que le permitió consolidarse en la industria durante la época dorada del cine. Además de su trabajo cinematográfico, desarrolló una faceta literaria vinculada a temas históricos y religiosos.
