Synopsis "Prince of Fire "

#1 New York Times bestselling author Daniel Silva presents "a first-rate thriller" (Rocky Mountain News) featuring art restorer—and reluctant spy—Gabriel Allon. After an explosion in Rome destroys the Israeli embassy, Gabriel Allon makes a disturbing discovery—the existence of a dossier in terrorist hands that strips away his secrets, and lays bare his history. Drawn into the heart of a service he’d once forsaken, Allon finds himself stalking a master terrorist across a bloody landscape generations in the making. But soon, Allon will wonder who is stalking whom. When the final showdown comes, it won’t be Allon alone who is threatened with destruction. For it is not his history alone that has been exposed…

Daniel Silva is the award-winning and New York Times best-selling author of The Unlikely Spy, The Mark of the Assassin, The Marching Season, The Kill Artist, The English Assassin, The Confessor, A Death in Vienna, Prince of Fire, The Messenger, The Secret Servant, Moscow Rules, The Defector, The Rembrandt Affair, Portrait of a Spy, The Fallen Angel, The English Girl, The Heist, The English Spy, The Black Widow, The House of Spies, The Other Woman, The New Girl, The Order, and The Cellist

Although he began his professional career as a journalist, Silva soon discovered his passion for fiction writing. He studied at California State University, Fresno, and worked as a correspondent for United Press International (UPI), which allowed him to cover key events around the world, including conflicts in the Middle East. This experience deeply marked his worldview and literary approach

In 1997, Silva published his first novel, The Unlikely Spy, which received excellent reviews and marked the beginning of a prolific literary career. However, it was with The Confessor (2003) and the creation of his iconic character Gabriel Allon, an Israeli art restorer and spy, that he achieved international success. Allon became the protagonist of a series of more than 20 novels, including acclaimed works like The English Assassin (2002), The New Girl (2019), and The Order (2020)

Silva's writing is noted for its historical accuracy, deep knowledge of the intelligence world, and ability to explore contemporary ethical and political dilemmas. His books, translated into more than 30 languages, have repeatedly appeared on the New York Times bestseller lists
