Tom Taylor (Melbourne, 1978) is an Australian comic book writer, playwright, and television screenwriter. He is recognized for his work at DC Comics and Marvel, noted for his ability to explore alternative universes and delve into character psychology. His most influential series is Injustice: Gods Among Us (2013–2016), which served as a prequel to the homonymous video game and was followed by Injustice 2 (2017–2018). Both series were acclaimed for their intense narrative and focus on moral dilemmas. Additionally, Taylor has worked on titles such as DCeased (2019), Nightwing (2021–present), Superman: Son of Kal-El (2021–2022), and Dark Knights of Steel (2021–2023). At Marvel, he wrote All-New Wolverine (2015–2018) and X-Men Red (2018).
His Nightwing series, in collaboration with artist Bruno Redondo, has been particularly highlighted, winning the Eisner Award 2024 for Best Single Issue for its issue 105.
