Korky Paul, born as Hamish Vigne Christie Paul in Harare, Zimbabwe, in 1951, is a renowned British children's book illustrator. He studied Fine Arts at the Durban School of Art in South Africa and animation at the California Institute of the Arts. After working in advertising in Cape Town, London, and Los Angeles, he settled in Oxford, United Kingdom. His distinctive style, characterized by vibrant watercolors and detailed strokes, has been compared to artists like Ronald Searle and Ralph Steadman.

He is widely known for illustrating the Winnie the Witch series (1987), written by Valerie Thomas, which has sold over 7 million copies and has been translated into more than 10 languages. Other notable works include The Fish Who Could Wish (1991) and The Rascally Cake (1994). In 1988, he received the Red House Children's Book Award for Winnie the Witch.
