Pedro J. Fernández (Delaware, 1986) is an engineer, sommelier, and tarot reader. For over a decade, he has published novels and texts for adult and children audiences, in which he humanizes characters from the history of Mexico. Among his publications are Yo, Díaz; Iturbide, the other father of the nation; Morir de pie; Soy Malintzin and Once Upon a Time There Were Mexican Women Who Made History, several of which became publishing hits.

As part of his literary work in the dissemination of the history of Mexico, he has collaborated in different magazines, newspapers, and podcasts. He is also the creator of the @DonPorfirioDiaz account, which focuses on historical dissemination and satire on social networks. He is also co-creator (along with his husband, the sommelier Andoni Vales) of the project Cenas con historia, which merges the history of Mexico and the world with gastronomy and wine.

Pedro J. Fernández is the winner of the Caniem 2020 Distinction for Children and Youth Book of the Year for the book Once Upon a Time There Were Mexican Women Who Made History 2.
