Synopsis "Magnum in Parvo (in Spanish)"

Concebida en los últimos días de agosto de 1888 -último verano de su vida lúcida-, "Magnum in parvo: Una filosofía en compendio" es la obra que Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) proyectó como síntesis de su malogrado proyecto capital "La voluntad de poder" y en la que se abordan los temas clave de su pensamiento. Si bien un repentino cambio de opinión determinó que esta obra única viera la luz no en la forma unitaria prevista, sino disuelta en dos libros distintos -"Crepúsculo de los ídolos" (1889) y "El Anticristo" (1894), ambos presentes en esta colección-, la presente edición reconstruye, a partir de los fragmentos póstumos y de los manuscritos nietzscheanos originales, la obra tal como Nietzsche la diseñó, recuperando así una pieza de notable valor filosófico y literario, más redonda, en conjunto, de lo que habrían de resultar sus dos vástagos.

Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (October 15, 1844-Weimar, August 25, 1900) was a German philosopher, poet, musician, and philologist, whose work has had a profound influence on contemporary global thought and Western culture.
Nietzsche wrote on topics as diverse as art, philology, music, history, religion, science, and tragedy. He critiqued culture, religion, and Western philosophy through the genealogy of the concepts that integrate them, based on the analysis of moral attitudes (positive and negative) towards life.
It is particularly notable the influence exerted on Nietzsche by the also German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer, whom he considered his teacher, although he did not follow Schopenhauer's ideas dogmatically, and in many aspects, he diverged from his thought, even making a radical critique of his philosophical ideas.
