Synopsis "Las Maldiciones (in Spanish)"

A young man enters the world of politics for the wrong reasons and must face dramatic consequences. Claudia Piñeiro has written a moving novel that deals with a lot of current events, which focuses on the perversions of rulers, but also gives rise to the stories of loyalty and true love. "Las maldiciones" (The curses) bare the truth of the so-called ""new politics"", based on an absolute pragmatism that hides the unscrupulousness of deception and ambition without limits. Román Sabaté enters the world of politics almost by chance, but it is there where his destiny is sealed. The permanent tension between the need for work of a young provincial and the hidden intentions of the politician who has chosen him as private secretary is what makes this novel so intriguing and creates an undeniably exquisite plot that is a constant page-turner."
