Synopsis "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (in Spanish)"

Harry Potter is lucky to reach the age of thirteen, since he has survived the murderous attacks of the feared Dark Lord on more than one occasion. But his hopes for a quiet school term concentrating on Quidditch are dashed when a maniacal mass-murderer escapes from Azkaban, pursued by the soul-sucking Dementors who guard the prison. It's assumed that Hogwarts is the safest place for Harry to be. But is it a coincidence that he can feel eyes watching him in the dark, and should he be taking Professor Trelawney's ghoulish predictions seriously? These adult editions with glorious jacket art by Andrew Davidson are now available in hardback for the first time.

Joanne Rowling (Yate, 1965), known worldwide as J.K. Rowling, is a British writer and screenwriter who has left a deep mark on contemporary literature thanks to the creation of the Harry Potter saga. Her work not only revolutionized children's and young adult literature, but also became a global cultural phenomenon. Before achieving success, Rowling studied Philology and worked in various jobs, including Amnesty International. It was during a train journey when the idea of Harry Potter emerged, which, after overcoming personal difficulties such as the loss of her mother and raising her daughter alone, managed to publish in 1997 after several editorial rejections. The Harry Potter saga, with more than 600 million copies sold and translated into multiple languages, is her most influential work. She also writes crime novels under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, showing her versatility as an author.

In 2020, J.K. Rowling returned to writing for children with the fairy tale The Ickabog, which she first published for free online during the lockdown; later she donated all the book's royalties to help the most vulnerable groups affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. J.K. Rowling confesses she always wanted to be a writer. She lives in Scotland with her family.
