Gou Tanabe (田辺剛), nacido en Tokio en 1975, es un mangaka japonés conocido por sus adaptaciones literarias, especialmente de los relatos de H. P. Lovecraft. Inició su carrera a comienzos de los años 2000 y pronto fue reconocido por su capacidad para traducir al lenguaje visual las atmósferas densas y perturbadoras de los textos clásicos. Su trazo preciso, su dominio del claroscuro y su enfoque cinematográfico lo han convertido en uno de los principales referentes del manga de terror contemporáneo.
