Fernando Ángel has been working for twenty years as a psychoanalyst and emergency doctor. He studied medicine to understand the body and psychoanalysis to understand the mind and culture. As both fields were insufficient in addressing mental issues, he studied philosophy of science, language, and mind. “Now yes,” he said. But no. He was missing street, babies. Psychoanalysis could not be relegated to being a mummy in clinics and he opened @elpsicoanalistarebelde on Instagram. From there, he spreads the discoveries of Sigmund Freud, Françoise Dolto, André Green, Donald Winnicott, “a little bit of Lacan”, Melanie Klein, and Juan David Nasio.

He spiced up the recipe with graphic humor, philosophical thought, music, and popular culture, knowing that this is where the unconscious drive lives, in our laughter and in our tears; in the headlines and in our collective pleasures and pains.
