Synopsis "Desire, Fantasy and the Drive: Lunguage: Issue No.1 / 2022"

The School of the Freudian Letter is a psychoanalytic school facilitating formation in the Lacanian orientation. The first president of the school was the late Richard Klein who passed away in December the 30th, 2021. In his words about a decade ago, "the SFL was up and running in Cyprus even before its official establishment in the UK in 2013 and thus the school is Greek by nature." I had the honor in responding to those words by saying that the SFL is not a school of Heretics but of Gentiles- who seek to learn not how to read but how to write. This is, once again, a 'Greek gift' but of a different nature: it is the present of that which marks the function of the letter in a very unique way, what the ancient Greeks called the 'pneumata' in the structures of grammar. The journal is called 'Lunguage' and this is, of course, a reference to the object Breath, the truest and only form of any object of desire and a necessary precondition if one seeks to experience life with his or her own Act.
