Roger Olmos was born in 1975. He studied children's illustration at the Llotja Avinyó school of arts and crafts in Barcelona. As an illustrator, he has worked for publishers, press, advertising, and television. He has published more than forty books, translated into numerous languages. His work has been selected at Ilustrarte, Portugal, 2006; for the Bologna International Children's Book Fair in 1999, 2002, and 2005; for the Bratislava Biennial of Children's Illustration 2011 and 2013. He has received numerous awards, among others, the Lazarillo Award, in 2008; the White Ravens selection from 2002, 2004, and 2006; the Premi Llibreter for illustrated album of 2006; the Award from the Ministry of Culture of Spain for the best published album, children and youth category, 2014 and 2015; and the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu illustrated album award, 2013.
