Nellie Campobello (1900-1986) was a Mexican writer, poet, and choreographer, recognized for her contribution to the literature of the Mexican Revolution. Her work combines a personal and testimonial perspective with a poetic and raw style, standing out for her unique vision of war and childhood.

Among her most important books is Cartucho (1931), a collection of stories about the Mexican Revolution, based on her experiences in northern Mexico. She also wrote Las manos de mamá (1937), where she continues to explore memory and violence from a lyrical perspective. Her literary legacy has been revalued over time, positioning her as one of the few female voices in Mexican revolutionary narrative.
