Synopsis "Annie Knows Everything. The 2026 workplace romantic comedy that will have you laughing out loud"

After losing her job and learning her sister is engaged to the worst man alive, Annie needs a win. Thanks to her best friend and her own inability to take no for an answer, she manages to talk her way into an opening on another team working on data strategy - whatever that means. So what if she doesn't know how to write code? How hard can it be? Surely Connor - the team's overworked, aggravating, and distractingly hot leader - will soon realise how capable Annie is and be delighted to have her on board.

Annie sets her sights on nailing it at her new job... even if it means ignoring the chemistry building between her and Connor. Also on her to do list is trying to (gently! supportively!) convince her sister to reconsider her engagement, not to mention trying to figure out why her roommate and best friend are acting weird. But with sparks flying at work and at home, she begins to see how complicated taking matters into her own hands can be.

Annie thinks she knows it all, but does she really know everything?

This is the tech world romance I didn't know I was craving. Crisply written, smart, and full of unique, quirky characters, this is a truly joyful and healing love story. Five big stars from me. - Annabel Monaghan, author of Nora Goes Off Script

This was such a delightful read! A smart, funny, and heartwarming tech world romance, with some of the best banter I've seen. I fell in love with the quirky cast of characters and was grinning pretty much every time Annie and Conner would interact-their chemistry was sizzling! Rachel Wood is a new favourite. - Natalie Sue, bestselling author of I Hope This Finds You Well

Reading Annie Knows Everything is like finding a lost Nora Ephron movie. I am furious about how great this book is. So funny, so romantic, so utterly charming that I read it in one sitting even though I never wanted it to end. So sharply written, such a huge joy - I loved, loved, loved it. - Laura Wood, author of Under Your Spell

A smart, funny, workplace romcom that fizzes with chemistry and witty banter ... Inspired by Jane Austen's Emma, this is required reading for fans of contemporary romcoms with real heart, perfect for fans of Monica Heisey, Dolly Alderton and Emily Henry. - The Bookseller

Annie Knows Everything has it all - wit, humor, workplace flirtation, and a band of dynamic characters easy to love. Rachel Wood has gifted us a perfect escape into a New York City rom-com peppered with a sassy best friend, tricky family dynamics, and entertaining side glances into the tech industry. Did I mention the goth roommate and complicated big sister? Statistically, it's impossible not to devour this book. - Beck Dorey-Stein, author of SPECTACULAR THINGS, a Reese's Book Club pick

Loved. Loved. Loved. If you like your romcoms full of yearning, elite banter and a heroine with some serious gumption, then Annie Knows Everything is going to repeatedly hit your sweet spot. - Sarra Manning, author of The Love Library

Rachel Wood is now an auto-buy, calendar-clearing author for me. This fresh, workplace take on Emma will have readers laughing, swooning, and rooting for Annie from page one as she navigates the fallout of her mistakes while finding love along the way. I couldn't put it down. - Victoria Lavine, author of Any Trope But You

A must read this spring, this was truly joyous! A book that warms your soul as you turn the pages. I loved all the characters. - Nina Pottell, Prima magazine

A book that brings genuine joy is a rare and wonderful thing - there were moments when I was reading Annie Knows Everything and realised I literally had a goofy smile on my face. - Anna Carey, author of Our Song
